Horse Heaven Hills
The Horse Heaven Hills is a spectacular growing region in Southeastern Washington State. Here are some facts at a glance.

Alder Ridge Vineyard is farmed sustainably, and all of our fruit is hand-picked.
Though the 3 of us have been long-time residents of Walla Walla, we feel that the best Washington State Cabernet vineyards are in the Horse Heaven Hills appellation. Records show that Washington wines with the highest accolades source their grapes from this area, including the first two 100 pt. wines.
All of our fruit is hand-picked solely from Alder Ridge Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills. It's a beautiful south-facing slope ranging from 150-1200 ft. overlooking the mighty Columbia River. Alder Ridge receives 5" annual rainfall on average, and is blessed by the famous Columbia Gorge winds, which help cool the vines during summer nights, keeps the mildew pressure to a minimum, and drives away any potential for frost damage.
Alder Ridge is farmed under the principles of sustainable agriculture, and Rob works very closely with the vineyard crew to monitor each growing season. Ladybugs, spiders, dragonflies and natural predators such as red-tailed hawks, barn owls, and bull snakes are abundant throughout the farm. The grapes at Alder Ridge naturally sets at 3 tons to the acre-a true testament to the health & balance of the vineyard. We're so committed to this vineyard, Rob & Jeanie divide their time between Walla Walla and Alder Ridge.
